I can't believe how fast fall is passing by. It's my favorite season but I'll admit, the last couple of years I was a little disappointed with fall here in Middle Tennessee. This year it has been beautiful though! Whether that's because I've forgotten how gorgeous North Carolina fall's are or because this fall has just really been beautiful...I don't know but it doesn't matter! I'm enjoying it. It's so crisp outside, slightly colder than I would like, but it smells so crunchy out there and I love it! If you have fall where you live, you know what crunchy smells like. :)

My Count's business has been keeping us very busy lately. New ideas and trying to execute them in the best way possible. I try to go in to the office with him a couple times a week to help out with stuff but I thankfully I can do all the support side of stuff from home.


We're almost done with our foster parent training (the classes part anyway). We have our CPR/first aid class next week and then we start in on the interviews and home study process...which I don't know how long will take! If you missed it, we announced that we're becoming foster parents here. We still have to set up our kid room...which I'm assuming has to be ready for inspection by the time we have our home visit. It has a ways to go...but at least we've been able to keep it pretty much empty since moving in. I do go in there sometimes and wonder what it will be like all set up and then with a child in there...I think I'm going to like it. :) And then sometimes I kinda freak out and think, "God, really? You're sure we're ready for this?"


Halloween went by with only TWO trick-or-treat-ers. I was SO excited that we finally live in a neighborhood and would have kids coming by...boy was I wrong. I guess most of them go to the town square where they have a big to-do every year. NEXT year, I'm going down there with candy.

Guess that's about it. My Count and I are headed to some friends house today to hang with their kids for the afternoon while their parents go to a game. Should be lots of fun...they have some pretty cool kids. :)
